Brioche perdue


Brioche perdue is actually French toast made out of brioche instead of (stale) bread. It is so comforting and I love making it on Sunday mornings for a lovely brunch. I usually put fresh berries on top, but sometimes, I like to have some bananas quickly cooked pan to make them softer and sweeter.

I usually let my brioche slices go stale overnight so they can really absorb the eggy mixture.

I say Miam Miam & Yum to that! Do you?

Dans ma brioche perdue est le partenaire idéal d’un bon brunch du dimanche. En général, j’y ajoute des fruits rouges mais parfois les bananes poêlées dans un peu de beurre s’y prettent à merveille.

Je préfère sortir mes tranches de brioche la veille au soir et les laisse sécher à l’air libre pour qu’elles puissent vraiment absorber les œufs.
